Porterdale Mill Lofts - A creative alternative to Newton County's many "cookie cutter" apartment complexes, the Porterdale Mill Lofts are an adaptive new use of the Textile Mill and Cotton Warehouse facilities built over a century ago in Porterdale, Georgia.  With 154 all-new loft-style apartment units, two spaces for restaurants and several retail spaces, the Porterdale Mill Lofts represent a new lifestyle for those who want to live in more than just an apartment.

Clark's Grove - Within walking distance of the historic Covington town square, this community has a diverse mix of traditional architecture with the charm of small town living.  This planned community includes Cottages, attached two-story Park Homes, Live/Work home and stately homes with architecture that reflects the character of Covington's Southern Heritage.

Miracle Community Garden - Our mission is to create, install and sustain a beautiful woodland park accessible for all ages and abilities, a place where elements of high quality and detail invite varied experiences that can be passive and serene or active and exciting.

Interested citizens and other community stakeholders have conceived a community park inspired by and to be built around the granite ruins and chimney of the old Patterson mansion situated behind the library.  The project will be funded completely with grants, donations and in-kind service.

Located inside the City of Covington, this Newton County park will be developed adjacent to three County facilities: library, health center, and trail system.  The new park will have three distinct but interrelated elements: (1) Secret Garden  - the granite ruins of an old mansion (with foundation and chimney); (2) Whispering Woods - the surrounding forest to include accessible trails, treehouse and interactive sculpture; and (3) Play Plaza - the universally accessible structured play area with play structures, a zero-depth water feature and miracle play field.
