A project to assess and improve the ways we get around in Newton County. |
The Newton County Comprehensive Transportation Plan (CTP) is a project
- initiated by the Newton County Board of Commissioners;
- partially funded by The Atlanta Regional Commission;
- managed by the County Engineer Kevin Walter;
- conducted by The URS Corporation; and
- facilitated by The Center for Community Preservation and Planning.
This project will:
- identify projects and strategies to provide for current and future mobility needs
- evaluate the performance of various transportation methods in Newton County
- make recommendations for improvements in safety, congestion mitigation, and traffic flow
