Kay Lee is a Community Initiative Entrepreneur spending time
on projects that integrate her experience and corporate skills
with her deep interest in making a difference in the community.
Since her retirement from Southern Company, she has been focused
on community projects in and around Covington and Newton County.
Kay gained corporate experience with The Southern
Company - the nation's largest producer of electric power. The
last ten years of her career in the private sector centered
around special project roles -
including managing Georgia Power's Olympic Project. She subsequently
provided consulting expertise to Energy Australia and Scottish
Power/PacifiCorp and her team of global consultants published
a "Guidelines for Energy Infrastructure" - commissioned
by the International Olympic Committee and intended for use by
Organizing Committees as a guide to planning and building energy
infrastructures for future Olympic Games.

Hosanna Fletcher received
her BA in Sociology from the University of Georgia. She
also holds two Master degrees from Tulane University - one
in Public Health and a second in Sociology. She and her
husband Kevin, a Newton County native, relocated with their
daughter, Miranda, after evacuating from New Orleans in
August of 2005 due to Hurricane Katrina. She has been
with The Center ever since.
Prior to working at
The Center, Hosanna worked in the fields of Market Research,
Community Health, and Student Services. Along with
education and experience, Hosanna brings with her a fresh
perspective on community development and preservation.

Porsha Johnson
is a native of Covington Georgia. Having spent two
years at Bentley College outside of Boston, Porsha
returned to her roots to search for academic
opportunities closer to home. Porsha spent 6
months with The Center working on a variety of projects
including a newsletter and the water use campaign. |

Caitlin Keesee
worked with The Center during her first and second years at Oxford College of Emory
University as part of the Bonner Leadership
Program. A native of Augusta, GA, Caitlin worked on an
array of projects including the Leadership Collaborative
and the LCI. She is now attending Emory University
in Atlanta. |

Adam Kirk
is a
2008 graduate of UGA in the Landscape Architecture
program and recently accepted a position with a firm in
Dublin, GA. Adam worked with the Leadership
Collaborative on the 2050 Build Out Vision and continued
to be a major contributor to the project even after his
departure. |

Ruth Miller
is a 2007 graduate of MIT in Urban Planning. A Newton County native, she currently resides
in Oakland, CA where she is pursuing a career in local
planning. Ruth continues to assist The Center in its
fundraising efforts. |

Lauren Hubbard,
a Newton County native, is a recent graduate of
Wake Forest in Mass Communications. While at The Center,
she worked extensively on creating outreach and public
involvement plans and materials. During her Senior
year, she was a student body leader in
the Office of the President and serves on the Advisory
Committee for the Campus Master Plan. After
graduation, she took a position in Alumni Relations with
Wake Forest. |

Lauren Oldja
is a 2008 graduate from MIT in Urban Planning. During
her time with The Center, she worked on a variety of
projects including form-based zoning recommendations for
the City of Porterdale.
Originally from St. Petersburg, Florida, she currently
resides in Mexico City where she is completing an
internship for the National Institute of Ecology. She
plans on pursuing a career in international development. |

Allen
Jones is a 2007 graduate of UGA in the Landscape Architecture
program. Allen was one of the first interns at The
Center and as such wore many hats. In addition to
the planning skills he brought to a variety of projects,
Allen also redesigned The Center's website. He currently resides with his wife, Laura, and
his two daughters, Claire and Meredith, in North Carolina where he works for
Urban Resource Group, a division of Kimley-Horn. |
